December 1, 2009

Dear NetproHosting clients:

We are writing to inform you that after much thought and consideration, we have decided to close our hosting business effective December 31, 2009. This was not an easy decision to come to, but one we needed to make nonetheless.

We have enjoyed serving you since opening our business in 2002, and trust we have provided you with excellent service during that time. NetproHosting has been a “reseller” business meaning our model was to purchase large volumes of disk space and bandwidth, resell it in pieces to our clients, and add value with our customer service.

Web hosting is a commodity business. Prices for individual hosting accounts come down every month, and what you get for those dollars seems to continue improving. This is excellent news for consumers but it makes it difficult to sustain our business according to our current business model. Simply put, we believe there are options available to you for less money with service as good or better than we can offer and are choosing to no longer compete in this market.

What does this mean for you...We have posted a web page with more details on what this means for you and actions that need to be taken in the next 30 days in order to maintain your website and email accounts. This is located at:
www.netprohosting.com/transition.php

The primary points are:

1. Transferring your hosting account to a new provider
2. Modifying DNS and/or transferring your domain registration into your own account

The site also includes some hosting and domain registration vendor recommendations that we have that would significantly simplify the process if you opt to go with them.

Please read these pages carefully as there are steps you will need to take to ensure your site files, databases, email accounts and domain registration continue uninterrupted after December 31, 2009. If your site(s) and domain registration(s) have not been completely transferred before this date you will risk losing them. We cannot maintain any backups beyond December 31, 2009.
We expect there will be a large volume of questions. Please direct those to info@netprohosting.com and we will answer them in the order they are received.

Again, thank you for your business over the years!

Regards,
Jeremy Davis
